0Aron Stevens On Finding Success In Hollywood Post-WWE, Wrestling For NWA, Podcasting & More
Aron Stevens made his first appearance for WWE in 2002, prior to his 21st birthday. Before finding international fame as Damien Sandow in the early 2010s, Stevens would make a name for himself as a wrestler in Puerto Rico, winning both the WWC Puerto Rico Heavyweight Championship and the WWC World Tag Team Championship. His WWE career would include a Tag Team Championship run, a Money In The Bank victory, and 2 Slammy Awards. Post-WWE, Stevens would sign with TNA Wrestling, where he would win the Impact Grand Championship. Nowadays, Stevens is signed to the NWA, where he has notably been the company’s National Champion and a World Tag Team Champion.
Yet wrestling is only one of the areas where Aron Stevens has kept active and found success in recent years. As an actor, he has been part of episodes of A.P. Bio, Better Things and Magnum P.I., beyond film appearances; he acted in several films slated for release in 2022. Stevens is also the co-host of The A Show podcast alongside April Hunter, as produced by the Hamin Media Group. And all of this has been accomplished without a full-time manager, agent or publicist. In other words, Stevens is on-path to being yet another major mainstream-crossover star from world of professional wrestling.
On October 8, 2021, I had the pleasure of speaking with Aron Stevens via Zoom, as embedded below; Stevens and I had originally been connected through a mutual friend, Party Like A Rockstar podcast host (and Memoir Of A Roadie author) Joel Miller. Stevens and I not only discussed with his work within the acting, wrestling and podcasting spaces, but also career goals, aspirations he has for screenwriting and music. More on Stevens and his current projects can be found by clicking here, here and here.
