Letoya Luckett releases single and tours with Mary J. Blige for ‘Strength Of A Woman’ Tour
In addition to unveiling her final visual “Used To Be” (above), LeToya has joined the Queen of Hip Hop Soul, Mary J. Blige, on several upcoming dates of the iconic singer’s “Strength of a Woman Tour”, starting on August 1st in Detroit. The next scheduled date for Luckett and Blige to appear together on stage is September 2nd, 2017 in Los Angeles, CA.
LeToya ended her seven-year hiatus from music with the release of the title track and lead single âBack 2 Life,â which was produced by Joseph “Jo Blaq” Macklin and YBZ as well as it received rave reviews from media and fans. The accompanying video, which was teased on People.com, was the first installment of the mini movie series and featured actor Thomas Q. Jones (âBeing Mary Janeâ) and has received over 5.1 million views on YouTube with “Used To” having over 1 million views. The 13 track LP features rapper Ludacris and production by Grammy award-winning hit makers Andre Harris, Warryn Campbell and newcomer Anthony Saunders among others.  Back 2 Life is available everywhere music is sold.
While Luckett is experiencing much musical success, she has equally been honing her craft as an actress with recurring roles in the former FOX drama âRosewoodâ alongside Morris Chestnut and OWNâs hit series âGreenleafâ alongside Oprah Winfrey, Lynn Whitfield and Keith David, with a mid-season return in August 2017. At the Cannes Film Festival, it was announced that LeToya will play the legendary Dionne Warwick in a new biopic aptly titled Dionne. The film will follow the singerâs early career spanning from 1962-1968, during which time she created some of her biggest hits including âAlfieâ and âI Say a Little Prayer.â Luckett will record Dionne Warwickâs songs for the movie soundtrack. When asked how she felt about LeToya portraying her, Warwick states âShe is perfect and she has exactly the right look…She will bring out what is needed for this part.â  Furthermore, it was announced that LeToya was cast to star alongside Luke James and Aisha Hinds for the pilot of USAâs anthology series âUnsolved: The Murders of Biggie and Tupac.â
