Wendy Raquel Robinson, Yandy Smith & LeToya Luckett Unite for The Orange Blossom Classic’s “The Elevation Experience”
This past weekend, Visit Lauderdale in partnership with the Orange Blossom Classic, the HBCU football reunion experience which takes place annually during Labor Day Weekend, hosted The Elevation Experience in South Florida. Prominent HBCU alumni, including Wendy Raquel Robinson and Yandy Smith-Harris, alongside Grammy award-winning singer LeToya Luckett shared the stage as they talked about their invaluable experiences while inspiring attendees to reach new heights. During this event, Coach Willie Simmons, the Head Coach of Florida A & M University conducted a football clinic to empower women with essential skills and insights.
The event also featured notable professionals such as Visit Lauderdale’s Stacy Ritter and Neki Mohan, Attorney and Sports Agent Kristen Campbell, Wells Fargo Financial Advisor Tracey Tynes Horlback, and Miami Dade County, District 1 Chairman Oliver G. Gilbert III, among others. The event was hosted by Hot 105’s Shelby Rushin, Local 10’s Alexis Frazier, and NBC’s Constance Jones, adding to the excitement and energy of the day.
Wells Fargo hosted an interactive workshop, demonstrating their commitment to supporting women-owned small businesses by providing crucial financial guidance. The event, under the visionary leadership of Kendra Bulluck, Orange Blossom Classic Committee Executive Director, fostered personal growth and inspired attendees to elevate their aspirations. As part of the experience, Bulluck introduced Elevate Now!, a goal-setting journal that received overwhelmingly positive feedback from participants.
