Bama Baby – Drinks & Bottles

Bama Baby drops hot new track ‘Drinks & Bottles’ just in time
for Spring/Summer season

HOUSTON, TX – Bama Baby is a multi-talented rapper, singer, songwriter and producer whose diverse sound has been turning heads recently across the world. Pairing with long-time friend and producer Rob The Matrix, Bama Baby has put together a dynamic line up of songs that fans are clamoring for! Recently added to that collection is his new single “Drinks & Bottles.”

The song is an upbeat, Spring/Summer vibe that Bama says is perfect for partying and having a good time. It’s a fairly straight-forward song that he hopes is universal and can touch just about any market. It’s also a song that’s true to his unique sound and style in that it showcases his versatility and ability to bring songs influenced by nearly any genre of music.

“I write in so many genres,” he said. “My biggest thing is breaking genre stereotypes. A lot of artists are put in boxes and are told to pick one lane – like rapping or singing. But I make the hardest hard-core hip-hop and modern-day rap and pop music, R&B and Caribbean even Spanish records … I do it all.”

Bama has developed an international fan-base through his ability to produce music in other languages and connect with various cultures. He takes time to collaborate with friend/producer, Rob The Matrix, who he said is such a talented producer that he can literally create a beat from any genre of music or any global influence out there.

“Rob makes beats every day,” Bama said. “He just pumps out beats. And when the two of us work together it’s just easy – it’s automatic. Everything is a hit and it’s fun.”

The two first met in high school, after Bama moved to the Houston area. Rob at the time was a standout on the football team, while Bama was already recognized as a gifted rapper, singer/songwriter. After graduation, Bama introduced Rob to music producing and pushed him to explore his hidden talents.

“I built myself around Bam,” Rob said. “He’s always pushed me to do more. I remember once in college when he was struggling and wasn’t doing much with his music, he’d call me every now and then to say he had a new song or something. And I remember telling him, ‘I don’t want to hear no more music from you if you’re not planning on doing anything with it. I’ve been playing football all my life, you’ve been making music all your life. And you’re too good not to be doing this with your life.’ That’s when the momentum started going, and not too long after we got that nod from fans and the industry that kind of says, ‘You’re good,’ and our confidence went through the roof.”

Bama and Rob will continue to work together on more music that they hope to develop into an
EP before the year is out. In the meantime, fans can listen to Bama’s new single “Drinks &
