GuapoNoir – Everything Custom

Guapo Noir elevates hip-hop with smart, luxurious sound in new
single ‘Everything Custom’

DALLAS, TX – New York-bred, Dallas-based emcee Guapo Noir has captivated listeners with a lustrous, unrelenting flow and off-kilter metaphors for years. His unique style and diverse subject matter, combined with an aggressive delivery, provides stark contrast to the smooth and soulful production. With humor, wit and the wisdom of a man twice his age, Guapo crafts intricate offerings, detailing the nuances of being young, black and successful in America. Today, he’s ready to bring that unique sound and style to the stage with the debut single, “Everything Custom.”

Guapo has shared the stage with artists such as Nas, E40, Young Buck, Tha Outlawz and Keek Da Sneak. And now, “Everything Custom” is set to put his debut project, “The Bearded Anthology,” on the map.

“It’s a song about individuality, exclusivity and cut-and- sew fashion,” Guapo said. “I’m talking about a lifestyle of luxury – about stunting and being fly. The music video has a bunch of high-performance shots to reinforce that idea.”

Guapo Noir was born the same year that Sade released “Smooth Operator” and Michael Jackson won an unprecedented eight Grammy awards for “Thriller.” Being born under that star is something he considers to be destiny, considering the raw, natural musical talent he possesses.

“I was just unhappy and I couldn’t do it anymore, even though I was making $170,000 a year,” he said. “Nothing makes me feel like music does. I really believe I was born to do it. My vast experiences and travels as an airman and basketball player allow me to be able to rap about whatever, from many different perspectives. From the streets of New York, to Afghanistan, to corporate America – I’ve done it all. I’ve always wanted to infuse the lyricism of New York with the cadences, melodies and booming bass lines of the South. I don’t sound like anything going on in the industry right now.”
