Bronx Bad Girl Mala Reignz Drops More Bombs With “Greener Side”

Award winning Hip-Hop artist, designer and entrepreneur, Mala Reignz is one of the music game’s best kept secrets. Mala spent years performing on some of New York City’s most notable and legendary stages including S.O.B.’s, The Knitting Factory, Club Pyramid, Webster Hall, The Green Space and CBGB’s to name a few.
She has been Declared “Unsigned Hype” by The Source Magazine, and “Flava of the Month” by Straight Stuntin’ Magazine. Her rhyme skills have led her to perform among the industry’s best at the 2010 Latin Mixx Awards as well as Digiwaxx’s all female cypher hosted by the legendary MC Lyte. Not to mention, Mala knocked some of the fiercest competition in the Bronx – all genres, and was chosen to represent the Bronx borough at the 2011 Battle of the Boroughs competition presented by Summerstage NYC.
Mala has also been featured on New York’s Hot 97.1fm and 105.1fm, which are among the country’s top radio stations for mainstream Hip-Hop and breaking new artists.

Mala turned heads with the release of her debut EP “The Calm Before the Storm” in 2010. The lead single “Dum Da Dum” debuted on Hot 97’s “Rush Hour” hosted by DJ Enuff as well as on Power 105’s morning show with Ed Lover and DJ Lady Chellez. “Make You Smile” featuring Emanny was a featured video on the MTV show, “Rap Fix” hosted by Sway. She went on to release her official sophomore project, “Mega Reignz” on 12-21-12.
Mala didn’t stop there, she also launched her self designed “Bad Girl Chainz” fashion accessories line which sold on one of the largest internet commerce platforms, Groupon.com.
Bad Girl Chainz can be seen gracing Mala’s neck on the cover of fitness and lifestyle magazine ‘BodyNStyle Magazine’ owned by World Boxing Champions, The Serrano Sisters, who took notice of Mala’s skills and positive image and invited her to be their cover girl for their third issue.
Mala continued to further brand herself by running Scholar Vision Music Group, an independent music company she co-founded with artist/producer J30. SVMG signed a distribution label deal one year later with former Murder Inc. top dog Chris Gotti at his newly formed company Add Ventures Music.
Always with an ear and eye to the streets, Mala dropped her next street banger “Soul Slap” featuring Mr. Chicken Noodle Soup himself, DJ Webstar last year.
Following the success of the “Soul slap” record And video Mala was invited for a second interview with Sway on his new radio show on Shade 45. There she held her own in the Friday Freestyle Cipher with established recording artists Futuristic and Axel Leon.
She was invited to go on the road with the IGetAtEm Magazine’s ‘Artist To Watch Tour’ featuring top artists from the East Coast touching down in cities from Maine to Atlanta, GA.
Mala was asked to pose for her second published cover for Rare Royalty Magazine, a new digital and print music and lifestyle magazine.
Ms. Reignz is set to drop her newest creation “Bougie In The Bronx” and will be hitting the road once again with Conquer Entertainment for the “It’s Lit” tour later this year.
Music and merchandise is a handful enough to co-produce and feature on her new show “City Lights Live” a tv variety comedy show hosted by Azia Star and of course, Mala accepted the offer to not only break into the acting and comedy realm but to get her feet wet with television producing. Stay tuned for “City Lights Live” coming soon to a T.V. network near you!
A play on her own name, Mala explained, “A ‘bad girl’ is a woman who holds it down at home and in her career. She is a power force and trendsetter ready to kick down barriers still facing women today.”
A leader, fighter and role model, Mala is determined to change Hip-Hop’s view of female rappers and let the world know that Bad Girls RULE!
