In the Halloween Spirit, Nashville Rapper Z. Smith Releases Sugary New Single “Sweet Tooth”

A very literal sweet tooth himself, Nashville rapper Z. SMITH knows all too well the dynamic between something that’s bad for you and the need to have more of it. In his new single “Sweet Tooth”, Smith describes the literal craving of wanting someone who isn’t necessarily good for you. Smith flows over a buoyant instrumental, rapping about an overly excited woman who views him as her sweet treat. His energy pairs seamlessly with Producer Austin’s kicks, flutes and electric guitars. The playful vibes come right in time for Halloween; “Sweet Tooth” reminisces on late night booty calls with that ‘once you pop you can’t stop’ mentality.

Originally from Cincinnati, rapper Z. Smith hopes to use his creatively refreshing lyrics to break Music City out of its country stereotype. Smith was originally inspired to start rapping by artists like Machine Gun Kelly, Futuristic, Logic, and Jake Miller, because of the various ways they use music as a form of storytelling. The story he tells in “Sweet Tooth” is all too relatable for those who feel nostalgic for those late night party vibes that we’re missing in 2020. Z’s relatable content allows him to connect with his fans on a more personable level. And with Trick or Treating be a bit hit or miss this year, Z hopes to deliver something sweet for fans to listen to ahead of all hallows eve.
