LA Dance Project Concludes Two Week Gala Series With High Profile Attendees

LA Dance Project, the boundary-breaking dance company led by Benjamin Millepied, in collaboration with Van Cleef & Arpels, hosted a series of transformative dance events through a re-imagined format for the company’s annual GALA. Guests were treated to an intimate performance of Solo at Dusk, a new work commissioned by LADP and choreographed by Bobbi Jene Smith and Or Schraiber, from the comfort of their car in these unique drive-in GALA events. High profile attendees included Jane Fonda, Saffron Burrows, Lake Bell, Nick Fouquet, and more.

During a time when stages throughout the world remain empty and the beauty of live dance seems to be something of the past, funding for the arts has never been more important, or less available. Due to COIVD, gathering in large crowds was not possible for the GALA this year so LADP re-conceptualized its most important fundraiser to keep the innovative dance culture alive in Los Angeles. Donations allow LADP to inspire, provoke, and change perspectives through innovative collaborations and dance works.
