Washington Finest PeacefulPinder Defies All Odds in Pursuit of a Hip-Hop Career

Born and raised in Seattle, Washington Derek Pinder who goes by the stage name of “PeacefulPinder” has come from rock bottom and works every day to cultivate his inner peace. Taking his unique battles and turning them into a medium such as music allows him to portray these tough times in his life and show others that they too can make it through their toughest battles.

PeacefulPinder’s life hasn’t always been the way it is now. Growing up in a household filled with alcoholism, drug addiction, and a crime-filled environment has made it an uphill battle for Pinder for as long as he can remember. He was raised by his mother as his dad wasn’t around much. His mother battled alcoholism, prescription drug addiction, as well as crack cocaine issues. This led her to be incarcerated quite often leaving PeacefulPinder to fend for himself. He knew as he grew older that the pain and suffering that his mother was causing him was many would consider unforgivable, but instead of making a big scene, he decided it was time for him to distance himself from her if he wanted to make it anywhere. The following week after his mother got three DUI’s in the span of ten days, he moved in with his father who he previously didn’t have a strong relationship with. During his time with his father, he learned a lot of valuable lessons that he carries with him to this day and acknowledges that he wouldn’t be where he is today without it. After a rough situation involving his stepmother, he decided it was best to move in with his best friends until he finished high school. After graduating High School PeacefulPinder worked to put himself through college and has now become a full-time musician.

A true guardian and positive role model in life PeacefulPinder has shown that no matter what adversity you face, you can make it through it. He portrays his struggles and his successes through his music and hopes that it can help other people going through the same things. He recently dropped a new EP called “LUV Vibrationz’ that is centered around poetic storytelling and the ups and downs of young love.
