0Tiffany “Budgetnista” Aliche On Financial Literacy, Working With Honey, Her Next Book & More
Americans are gearing up for a holiday shopping season like no other this year. Purse strings are tighter than ever during these trying times and consumers are looking for solutions to save money anyway they can. In fact, a recent national survey showed that 37 percent of Americans spend between 1 to 2 hours A WEEK looking for online coupons and other discounts.
That’s where Tiffany “The Budgetnista” Aliche enters the picture. Ms. Aliche is an Amazon #1 best-selling author of The One Week Budget and the Live Richer Challenge series. She has also created a financial movement that has helped over 1 million women worldwide collectively save more than $150 million and pay off over $100 million in debt. These women that participate in this global movement call themselves “Dream Catchers.” But any way you slice it, Aliche is so influential that she got a New Jersey state law passed in 2018 — nicknamed by media outlets as “The Budgetnista Law” — with regard to making financial education part of New Jersey students’ school curriculum.
On November 9, 2020, I had the pleasure of speaking with Tiffany “The Budgetnista” Aliche via Zoom, as embedded below. We spoke about holiday shopping in 2020, why it is smart to use the Honey browser extension, future projects and more.
