New Series From Tom Mishra Explores Pitfalls of Woke Culture

The first episode of the new series Liberal Whites is now live.

Creator and director Tom Mishra made this series to be something relatable that explores the side effects of good intentions that don’t always translate.

Often left out of the writers’ rooms, Mishra wanted to explore woke culture as a person of color, and each of the five episodes in Liberal Whites revolves around an experience each writer has personally had — examining the ways in which POC are often treated as commodities rather than human beings.

The series was created and directed by Tom Mishra with writers Ian Randolph, Natalie Guerrero, Samat Turgunbaev, and Brett Dodenhoff.
