Panda$tackz Drops Hot New Single, “Pancho Pantera”

Introducing an up-and-coming exciting new Latino rapper, Panda$tackz. Riverside-born and Mexico-raised, Panda$tackz  just released “Pancho Pantera,” his latest single and music video Friday, December 18th.  Click here to see the music video for “Pancho Pantera.”

Following the release of his earlier singles this year, “Take You To the Stars” and “Come Baby Close,” Panda$tackz swaps his vintage bluesy romantic swagger for a gritty new Chicano rap, “Pancho Pantera.” The video is a playful homage to Pancho Pantera, an animated character from the 1950s used to promote the nutritionally-supplemented brand Choco Milk in Mexico and puts a lighthearted satirical spin on the opulence that is common in music videos for the genre without casting judgment. As for the song itself, the driving beat and confident lyrics could make even the staunchest wallflower want to dance…at least a little.

Panda$tackz got into music as an outlet for a series of tragic experiences in his youth. While Panda$tackz was always musically inclined (after all, how many rappers do you know who can also play accordion?), losing his father as a young teen made him turn to music as more than just a hobby. Citing producer Scott Storch (Beyonce, 50 Cent, Lil Kim, etc.) as an early inspiration, Panda$tackz also draws from superstars like Bad Bunny and Drake when writing.

For Panda$tackz, music isn’t about focusing on the bad. “Music for the last five years has pretty much been focused on drugs, overdose, and suicide. Got a broken heart? Then, pop a pill. It’s teaching young people to glamorize depression. I want my music to bring people up and say, “I love the way I am. I love the way I live. I love being in love with somebody.”
