Today, Amazon Music debuted the latest episode of “History in the Making,” a new panel-style series from Rotation hosted by Wayno, featuring artists who have changed the scope of music by redefining the sound, look, and feel of Black artistry. Debuting at 5pm ET / 2pm PT on Amazon Music Twitch channel, today’s episode features an in-depth interview between rapper Swae Lee and frequent collaborator and photographer Gunner Stahl moderated by Wayno.

“Storytelling is one of the most important parts of history, and in this new series with Amazon Music, I will share the backstories behind the success of some of the most influential and important Black artists who have redefined the culture and our history,” said Wayno.

Tune into the Amazon Music Twitch channel at 2pm PT each Friday through the end of the month for more episodes of “History in the Making.”

Amazon Music debuted “History in the Making” as a part of Amazon Music’s slate of content for Black History month. Amazon Music listeners can also find an expansive collection of playlists for Black History Month like the “The New Black” playlist that shines a light on emerging Black talent and creativity; a new collection of “[RE]DISCOVER” playlists that feature music from influential Black artists; and“PRSM,” a brand-new playlist highlighting genre-bending, expectation-defying Black artists. In addition, Amazon Music debuted the season finale of Rolling Stone’s 500 Greatest Albums Podcast with an episode on the legacy of Marvin Gaye’s “What’s Going On,” featuring insights on the album from luminaries like Spike Lee, Aaron Neville, Smokey Robinson, Nelson George, and more. Customers can also listen to a new Amazon Original cover of Bob Marley’s “Is This Love” by Wyclef Jean, with more coming, including a cover from Mickey Guyton, and a re-imagined track from rising hip-hop star Blxst’s last project “No Love Lost.” Also, simply say, “Alexa, play Black History Month music,” for a brand new, multi-genre listening experience of era-spanning hits from Black artists.
