deadmau5 Debuts Brand New Label hau5trap

Now looking to continue his never-ending endeavor of championing trailblazing and genre-defying talent, deadmau5 debuts a brand new label venture. Announcing hau5trap: a multifaceted home for global electronic pioneers within the house music space. Focusing on textural, groove driven, melodic sounds, hau5trap is the new premier collective for the who’s who of who’s next in all things house. Leading the hau5trap charge is none other than frequent mau5trap collaborator Tommy Trash. The prolific Australian creative reunites with singer/songwriter Daisy Guttridge to deliver hau5trap 0001: “Hiiigh.” Available for streaming and purchase on Thursday, March 4, “Hiiigh” is the long-awaited reunion of Tommy Trash and Daisy Guttridge after their hit 2019 collaboration “Let Me Go” with mau5trap mainstay i_o, and 2017 collaboration “Oxygen.” Tommy Trash and deadmau5 go hand in hand: Tommy’s remix of “The Veldt” was nominated for Best Remix at the 55th Grammy Awards (2012), and is still played in deadmau5 shows to this day. The pair recently reunited yet again for Tommy’s remix of deadmau5 and Kiesza’s “Bridged By A Lightwave,” which received high praise from tastemakers including DJ Times and The EDM Network. “Hiiigh” features a bustling amalgamation of sonic synths and classic four-on-the-floor basslines. Brimming with nuanced house flair, Tommy Trash and Daisy Guttridge create a sultry symphony, perfectly kicking off all things hau5trap.

Speaking on the launch of his brand new label while singing high praise for hau5trap’s inaugural track, deadmau5 says the following: “With hau5trap, we get to support more things we love specifically in house music. Tommy Trash remixed my ‘Bridged By A Lightwave’ and ‘The Veldt’ tracks, so I’m happy to have him be the first artist to release on hau5trap.”

Only just the beginning of what is yet to come from deadmau5’s new versatile venture, hau5trap is a label to watch in 2021 and beyond.

“From the start, the mau5trap mandate has been to find and foster global electronic talent. hau5trap is the perfect platform to expand and continue that mission. Tommy Trash’s history with the mau5trap family is well documented, and we’re excited to unveil what’s to come.” – Dean Wilson, CEO & Founder of Seven20
