Lil Moe 6Blocka Releases New Single and Video, “Leave Em Stretched”

Chicago’s Lil Moe 6Blocka comes after the pretenders and squares up to anyone willing to doubt him on his new single and video, “Leave Em Stretched.” Listen HERE and watch the video below. The track serves as Moe’s first new song since linking up with Brooklyn drill star 22Gz on the remix to the simmering street anthem “Risky.”

“Leave Em Stretched” is a cold and calculated song, on which Lil Moe flexes over a clubby bassline. Moe expands on his Chicago drill roots, veering into more melodic territory, though the occasional sung bar doesn’t undercut his threats. “And if it’s smoke, we gonna give him that/Bet he remembers that,” he raps. You can almost see the smirk across his face as he challenges his skeptics.

The video for “Leave Em Stretched” finds Moe and his crew hanging around Chicago, flexing the fruits of his hustle. Hardened by a tough childhood in the streets of Chicago, the teenage MC is willing to go to bat for what he’s earned. No one’s taking his success away from him, and “Leave Em Stretched” proves as much.

The single is the latest in a string of exciting new releases from Lil Moe 6Blocka and another example of how the teen is capturing the imagination of his city. Thoughtful, intense songs like “Ion Know” have inspired tastemaking platforms like Lyrical Lemonade and Daily Chiefers to name Moe among the region’s hottest rising underground rappers. The “Risky” remix with 22Gz won even more acclaim, garnering attention from HotNewHipHop, Uproxx, and STUPIDDOPE. HipHopDX even called “Risky” one of “the best hip hop songs of 2021.” Lil Moe is the voice of a new generation of Chicago rappers—a bridge between the drill scene that dominated the landscape in the 2010s and the next crew of superstars primed to take over the Windy City. With songs like “Leave Em Stretched” already out and more on the way, Moe is poised to lead the way in the years to come.
