Lil Haiti “Where The Cap At” Featuring Flipp Dinero (video)

Haitian emcees Lil Haiti and Flipp Dinero link up to release the visual for their feel-good collaboration “Where The Cap At” which debuted Wednesday, March 31, on Que Global Entertainment / BMG. The song available on streaming platforms is from Lil Haiti’s “The Big Zoe” EP out on April 23.

In the clip directed by Nimi Hendrix of Secret Society, Lil Haiti and “How I Move” rapper Flipp Dinero show a glimpse of the “Where The Cap At” lifestyle — stunning models, luxury cars, and stacks of cash. On the addictive, electric guitar-driven track, Haiti raps, “Where the cap at? If you talking money drop your Cash app.” Haiti vacillates between his steady, calm flow during the verses and his melodic, sung chorus. Flipp balances the track with his raspy, slick, rapid delivery. This track is the perfect setup for the Spring.

Lil Haiti describes the song’s energy and what it was like teaming up with Flipp. “When you listen to this song it makes you feel like a boss,” he says. “Like you can talk the talk and walk the walk. It’s big vibe.  You’re on top of the world. Working with Flipp was amazing. He followed my melody which makes this an even bigger record plus we got 2 big Zoe’s on it.”

“Where The Cap At” follows Lil Haiti’s “Poland Spring” and “Panicking.” Lil Haiti’s “Panicking” video has received nearly 400,000 plays on YouTube and the audio has been viewed more than 10 million times across streaming services. He has been featured in/on BET, REVOLT, The Fader, Hip Hop Weekly, HipHopDX,BK Reader, 247HH, as well as playlists on Apple Music, Spotify, Pandora, and Shazam.

About Lil Haiti

Lil Haiti is a whole vibe. Enamored with his homeland’s Haitian Defile Kanaval and Mardi Gras parades, he fostered a love for music that included leading a band when he was only 5 years old, playing instruments, singing, rapping and directing group members more than three times his age.

When he moved to Brooklyn at the age of 10, becoming a producer was a natural progression for the burgeoning artist influenced by Timbaland, Ryan Leslie, Rodney Jerkins and Dr. Dre.

Born Andre Fils, Lil Haiti achieved viral success with rap partner Kush Flo and their crew The Original Music Group. Their song “The Wave” spawned the #HitTheWaveChallenge that caught the attention of Chris Brown and earned a shoutout from popular media personality Taxstone.

The success continued. The Fader praised “Low It Down” and “Good Vibe” reached 10 million streams and prompted fans in Europe, India, China and Panama to create challenge videos. It was also added to rotation on Hot 97.

Strong hooks and melodies are consistent with all of Lil Haiti’s music — “Panicking,” “Bounce,” “Air Force 1,” “Run For It” — and makes him one of hip hop’s most promising breakout artists. His ability to generate such a strong response independently led to his 2020 deal with Quayshaun Carter’s Que Global Entertainment in partnership with BMG.
