Manny Perez On His New Film “Night Of The Sicario,” His New York Roots, Future Plans & More

In Night Of The Sicario, while transporting the family of a key witness in a federal trial against the cartel, DEA agents are ambushed in a fatal shootout. Now the survivors, including the witness’ young daughter, must take refuge in a nearby home as the ruthless sicarios hunt them down. With danger at every corner and a violent hurricane wiping out any chance of outside help, they must play — not a spoiler, I promise — a deadly game of cat and mouse with the cartel to live through the night.

Night Of The Sicario stars the ensemble cast of Natasha Henstridge (Species franchise), Manny Perez (El Cantante) and Costas Mandylor (Saw franchise). The film was directed by Joth Riggs (his feature film debut) and written by Ernesto Melara and Matthew Eason. Saban Films will release the action thriller to theaters on April 16, 2021 and to on-demand and digital outlets on April 20, 2021.

I spoke with the aforementioned Manny Perez — an actor who has been working steadily for decades — on April 9, 2021 via Zoom, as embedded below. Perez can be found on social media via www.twitter.com/MannyPerez1 and www.instagram.com/mannyperez1, while more on Night Of The Sicario is here, here, here, here and here, thanks to the Saban Films team.
