Kayo Da Don Preps for ‘30 for 30’ Album Drop with “Upstate Drip”

Upstate New York’s rising hip hop artist and entrepreneur Kayo Da Don is staying in motion with the June 9 release of his new single, “Upstate Drip,” available now on all platforms. Inspired by his hometown of Albany, NY, and his retail clothing store of the same name, the song is a quick follow-up to the recent spring release of “LAX,” and a prelude to the release of his official 30 for 30 album due out this summer. As Kayo prepares for live appearances at DJ Holiday’s Hollipalooza Tour during BET Awards week, and his July 19 show in Buffalo, NY, he also premiered the official “Upstate Drip” music video via his YouTube channel.

In his most recent track, “LAX,” Kayo Da Don gave fans a glimpse inside the hustle and grind of the rapper’s life. The anthem-driven sound created by Tenzo Beatz paired with a striking visual in the “Ball On’ Em” official music video, which Lin James directed.

After a brief incarceration, Kayo Da Don, who officially made his debut in the music industry in 2020, achieved breakthrough popularity with his covers of the hit songs “Lemon Pepper” and “We Paid.” Kayo’s regular music releases like “Channel 10,” “Big Business,” “Wrist In The Trap,” “Makin’ It Hot,” and others have made Kayo Da Don well-known across the world.
