Making Waves & Making Beats: The Story of How Vincent Zirah Turned from Developer to Music-Maker

Good tunes are worth more than just their entertainment value, although that’s equally as important. They ultimately leave a deeply personal and profound impact on all our lives – can bring us together despite differences, encourage internal and broader societal change, and overall improve our lives and make the world a better place. Vincent Zirah recognized this from early in his life and dedicated himself to supporting this however he possibly could.

His efforts would later show themselves in the form of Infigroove, a platform that strives to provide a legal, advertisement-free, limitation-free, and no-cost music platform to users worldwide, especially those within economically disadvantaged countries. The French entrepreneur behind Geniuslix, didn’t truly know what he was doing at first, armed only with a few basic ideas for a streaming site and completely self-teaching himself the skills needed to make that a reality along the way.

That translated into what Vincent Zirah himself identifies as a very essential version of the site. But as the days, weeks, and months passed, as new people joined onto the project and the initial Infigroove creator found his development stride, it snowballed from there. The platform is now significantly closer to its founder’s ideal vision, enabling everyone to listen to millions of tracks and watch their accompanying YouTube-sourced music videos, all in an ergonomic interface without ads, limitations, or annoying (and oft expensive) monthly fees.

Combined with powerful databases and some web engineering, we get a service matching the paid ones in terms of features and user interface. It’s truly a massive achievement for the platform’s founder. But the real win here is Infigroove’s ability to run autonomously and provide its users with the timeless freeness of music. Because of it, access to music has been democratized, people around the world allowed the same ability to enjoy it as those of us here in the West. It certainly isn’t as well-known as the biggies such as Spotify or Pandora, but it’s constantly gaining new members and is continuously making progress at leveling the music playing field for all of us worldwide, closing the access gap that’s so long been left wide open.

With this point of easy accessibility at least somewhat accomplished, thousands now able to listen to their favorite tunes and discover their favorite tracks of tomorrow, the Infigroove owner eventually set his sights to new ways he can further push this progress. Promoting the platform, building a genuine bridge between him and the artists Infigroove seeks to support was the clear next step.

Vincent Zirah’s immediate thought was that there could be no better way to build that relationship up than becoming an artist himself, finally able to understand the process behind the scenes of those who make music, namely those who make his platform possible. And he’s done just this, trying his hand at musicianship much the same way that he tried his hand at streaming platform development: with total dedication and zero background to help him out.

Oddly enough, this lack of music production experience hasn’t crippled his success but rather enhanced it. The emerging artist has quickly picked up the necessary tools of the trade through hours of effort and simultaneously discarded all the unhelpful bits that often bog down young hopefuls. Crafting two singles called “Better Mood” and “Evolution,” Vincent Zirah’s work strikes just the right balance, both homages to their respective genres of pop and electronic while offering something completely new and unexpected along the way.

The former is summery and fun but also unique thanks to an expanded use of piano, guitar, and violin as the latter is thumpyand danceable but also intense thanks to a soulful female lead. Both ultimately share a sense of exploration, reverence for music, and a commitment to quality. It’s reflective of VincentZirah’s entire musical journey, truth be told, and what a journey that has been.
