Words of Wisdom From the Gentle Giant Biz Markie on the Taj Longino Show
Biz Markie aside from being a pioneer in the world of beatboxing and Hip Hop was also a wise and prophetic soul. I got turned onto this amazing interview he did in 2017 with The Taj Longino Show where he discussed the future of music, especially Hip Hop. Of specific interest to me was his outlook about today’s Hip Hop being for the young. I liked the fact that he described the new iterations of the culture as developments and not disrespect. We tend to get mad at the evolution of Hip Hop and talk about the culture being desecrated by the younger generation but Biz didn’t see it that way.
