Rod Wave’s SoulFly (Deluxe) Debuts at #3 on Billboard 200

Blessed with a loyal and devoted fanbase, Rod Wave’s chart success is powered by the streets. This week, Rod experiences yet another milestone, as his latest release SoulFly (Deluxe) reaches #3 on the Billboard 200. Bolstered by nine new tracks, including collaborations with Kodak Black and Lil Durk, SoulFly (Deluxe) generated over 62,000 streaming-equivalent units, a 350% increase on streams for the original version in the previous week.

SoulFly (Deluxe) arrives amidst the first dates of the “Rod Wave SoulFly Tour, Presented by Rolling Loud,” a 35-date tour that criss-crosses the United States over the next few weeks. Last week, Rod performed to sold out crowds in Houston, Dallas, and Austin, and tomorrow, he prepares to perform to a sold out crowd in Atlanta. With more sold out dates to come in L.A., Chicago, Phoenix, Boston, and Pittsburgh, and low-ticket warnings in several other cities, Rod is solidifying himself as one of the most electrifying and emotional performers in the hip-hop space.

Home to the recent single “Time Heals,” which charted in Apple Music’s Top 15 and generated over 1.3 million YouTube views in its first 24 hours of release, the new songs on SoulFly (Deluxe) cover some of Rod’s favorite topics, including growing pains of fame and reflections on his traumatic past. SoulFly (Deluxe) is available everywhere via Alamo Records.

SoulFly made a splash on the Billboard 200 chart upon its release in March, generating over 130k sales-equivalent units in its first week and debuting at #1. 14 of the album’s 19 tracks have charted on the Billboard Hot 100, with two songs, “Tombstone” and the Platinum-certified “Street Runner,” peaking in the top 20. His highest-charting single to date, which peaked at #11 on the Hot 100, “Tombstone” recently reached #1 on urban radio, marking Rod’s third airplay #1 following 2019’s “Heart On Ice” and 2020’s “Rags2Riches.” Recently certified Gold, SoulFly helped Rod become the RIAA’s most-certified artist of Q1 2021.

Along with his formidable recorded output, Rod Wave is well known as a stellar live performer. Earlier this year, he delivered show-stopping performances for NPR Tiny Desk, The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, and Audiomack’s Trap Symphony, and his recent performance at Rolling Loud Miami went viral on YouTube.
