Verizon partners with MARIACHI USA to Celebrate Hispanic Heritage and Diversity

Verizon is teaming up with MARIACHI USA to celebrate its award-winning festival’s 32nd Annual show on August 22, 2021, occurring at the #1 entertainment capital of the world, Hollywood. While Hispanic Heritage Month runs from September 15 to October 15, Verizon celebrates diversity and the contributions of Hispanics every day. Through this partnership, Verizon supports Mariachi music to celebrate the rich traditions that so many embrace. Music fans can experience this special show at the iconic Hollywood Bowl.

The 32nd annual MARIACHI USA presented by Verizon music festival will feature a special tribute to the legendary singer and actress Lucha Villa. Mariachi Nuevo Mujer 2000 will perform a 12-minute music medley of Villa’s songs to honor Mexico’s most famous ranchera singer and her contributions to the arts, culture, and history of Mexico. While Lucha Villa will not be present, her presence will be known and felt throughout the Bowl among her thousands of adoring fans. Additionally, GRAMMY-nominated Lupita Infante will delight audiences with one of her newest songs, never before performed live on stage. This year, MARIACHI USA also welcomes two-time GRAMMY Award-winning Mariachi Divas, Mariachi Los Reyes, Mariachi Los Toros and all the way from Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, Mariachi Nuevo Tecalitlan. And no MARIACHI USA show would be complete without Mi Tierra Ballet Folklorico.

Because MARIACHI USA values the health and safety of all attendees, event producers, and the Hollywood Bowl will be following the Los Angeles County Department of Health’s most recent public health order, mandating all guests to wear masks at “outdoor mega-events,” regardless of vaccination status. The revised health order requires all guests to wear a face mask while enjoying the show except when actively eating or drinking.

“We won’t let masks get in the way of celebrating our annual tradition, so bring your picnic baskets, purchase your favorite spirit on-site and sit back and enjoy the show!” said MARIACHI USA founder, producer, and host Rodri J. Rodriguez while reminding guests that the Hollywood Bowl is now a ‘no cash’ venue.

Pre-show Plaza festivities, hosted by Rodri Entertainment, begin at 12:00 PM. Guests will enjoy samplings by LALA US, Del Real Foods, Bustelo, and Tajin. Doors open at 4:00 PM. The show begins promptly at 5:30 PM until 10:30 PM concluding with the traditional sing-a-long finale and fireworks by Pyro Spectaculars.

Parking is limited at the Bowl, fans are encouraged to use the Bowl Park & Ride and Shuttle available for purchase thru Ticketmaster. The Protocol for riders is “Must Wear Mask”.
