Rising Star Elion V on His Foray Into Music and The Visuals for His Single ‘Provide’

Music can find you serendipitously. Elion V started from the ground up, perfecting the skeleton of poetic craft through writing, spoken word, and rapping. He discovered his innate ability to string together lyrics and produce beats to cater to audiences of all backgrounds. Through finding his voice, the artist fused his heritage with his music through Latin influences that have made him a rising star in the Worcester, Massachusetts area. His first live performance was at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center, serving as an opening act for big names such as A Boogie wit da Hoodie, Fetty Wap, and Young Thug. Elion V is hungry to make a name for himself and expresses that through his sheer drive and dedication to curating his unique sound and image. Take a listen to his latest song, “Provide,” to get a taste of the exotic flavors Elion V is cooking up.

Incorporating humor into your art requires masterful self-awareness and the ability not to take yourself too seriously. For Elion V, it’s his way of life and mantra for leaving a memorable impression on audiences. The video for “Provide” – a song about fulfilling his woman’s fantasies – takes a hilarious turn of events. He’s kidnapped and dragged into a home filled with beautiful women, where is he forced to face the kingpin he owes money to. The kingpin, however, turns out to be a puppet named Joselito, a comedic star from Massachusetts. It’s almost impossible not to crack a smile as Elion V gives us his best acting performance while he attempts to bargain with Joselito and bring back the money he owes. This amusing encounter occurs while Elion V’s addicting lyricism and instrumentals play in the background. It’s a chill, relaxed song that seamlessly switches between English and Spanish. It’s the perfect track to hit play during any gathering to set the right tone and atmosphere.

We got Elion V to weigh in on a few things!

How did your interest in writing and spoken word help you find your way to music?

Life’s Circumstances can sometime only be felt, inspired and touched by  music. At the time I was goong through break a break up And family issues, the  only thing that seemed to put me at ease was singing amd writing, paired up  with listening to hip hop, just alogned me in that direction.

How would you describe your style and genre?

My style is unique, edgy, witty, melodic and lyrical. The genre, ranges from  Rnb to trap to hip hop, pop and even some carribean styles such as reggaeton  and afrobeat.

What is “Provide” about? How did you curate the sound for this song?

Provide is about a person who teases your senses. Your most inner desires.  They play with your emptions and or feelings as a taunt. You never really know  where you stand in their life, whether they genuinely want you or just to make a  fool of you. Like getting mixed signals from a crush for a lack of a better way of  saying it.

How did you and Armando Baez III come up with the concept for the “Provide” music video?

We thought about different ideas to come across yet did not want to follow  the message of the song to a T. We noticed joselito via IG and seen his image  and thought it would be edgy but not over the top so We got some of our  friends together and reached out to Joselito about the role and the idea we  came up with and He agreed instantly!

How did you get the puppet Joselio into your music video? What was it like collaborating and improvising for the video?

Joselito was reached out to via ig, at the time he was looking for people to  co create and promote content. It just seemed to click!
