How Artist Iamchampelli is Taking Over the Industry
Growing up in the Bay Area, artist Iamchampelli was deeply influenced by the sounds and culture of the 80s and was always exploring new genres and artists from his family’s record collection. Between mixtapes and radio shows, music was always a part of his childhood, and whenever he could, he would put together his own original songs on the piano or guitar, even though he never received formal training in any instruments.
In the 90s, he started his own label, Champelli Entertainment, after being inspired by a compilation project he worked on with artists from all around the Bay Area. After that, he knew he wanted to dedicate his efforts to working with and supporting independent musicians as much as possible. From San Quinn, to 3Xkrazy, Mac Mall, and others, Iamchampelli has been an integral part of the come-up of many Bay Area artists in recent decades.
He notes that even though much of his career has been spent on helping on supporting others, he’s always been a creative and rapper at heart himself. Looking forward, he is excited to put more time into his own craft, and really show the world what he’s capable of in addition to all his other successful ventures.
