Who is Havik the Gauwd?

Social media is an amazing thing, I just met this young lion hailing from Colton, CA, recording artist/songwriter Havik The Gauwd Robbins (a.k.a. HTGRobbins) via Instagram through one of my Army teammates who made SURE I didn’t pass up this gem. Havik, officially gained attention in 2015 with the release of his first official single “Taxin” via Eleet Records. After the success of his first single, Havik branded his movement “Halo Gang” and started his own label Halo Gang Music Group. Affiliations with producer L.A.rry L.A.vell and digital marketing  powerhouse teamGQP took Havik’s music to an expanded audience, the Inland Empire Native then followed up with his second official project the “Good Complex” EP (2018)

Combining sonically epic tracks, Havik’s unique sound, high energy performances, and in-house guerilla marketing via Halo Gang, he’s amassed over 1,000,000 combined Spotify streams and sales gaining popularity with listeners using relatable lyrics about the “daily hustle”.

Havik’s latest releases include singles “She Got It” “Oye” and the highly anticipated “A Blessing And A Curse” LP featuring production from L.A.rry L.A.vell, 909keys, Halo Gang Wicked, Austinisrude, Sonix, with appearances by 808 Presley, JoJo The Gamegod, and Fishal Simms.

What was the defining moment that brought you to do music?

Ever since I was a child I’ve always had an interest in music. In middle school I started writing rhymes and jumping in freestyle sessions with the homies. When I was 15 years old one of my closest friends at the time booked us our first studio session that led to our first live performance. The reaction I got from a room full of people who never heard me before was all the conformation I needed to officially begin my career in the music industry

What’s been the most challenging for you as an indie artist?

The indie budget. As a creative im constantly coming up with new ideas that need to be executed… when you’re completely independent it can be challenging trying to get the budget to match the size of the idea.

What’s the most satisfying for you about making music?

The connections I’ve made and inspiring the people. Music got me through life.. there’s no better feeling than someone telling me my music is getting them through something whether that be work, life, whatever.

Who’s on your bucket list to collab with?

Ye, Jay-Z, The Game, Kendrick Lamar, Snoop Dogg, Schoolboy Q, 2 Chainz, Benny The Butcher, Sosamann, YG, RJmrla, Migos, Sada Baby

2022 is the year of Bigger everything for Halo Gang… Bigger music, bigger visuals, bigger features, bigger deals, and bigger bags. My latest album (A blessing and a curse) dropped last month (February 11th) and before that I dropped two singles.. 2022 will also be the year of consistency for me. As well as visuals for the singles I plan on releasing a deluxe version of the album and holding a art exhibit with the album as the theme. I also plan on adding to the Halo Gang Music Group roster this year.

That I’ve been working, that I won’t give up, and that I’m bringin a ship (championship) back home to the INLAND.
