Erica Mason is Looking to Make History in the Music Scene
Erica Mason is a gifted MC from Gainesville Florida, who has dropped music year in and year out since 2017. She has worked with Grammy Award Winning Producers like JR, Spec, and Sam Peezy, and developed a unique but likable sound that is truly undeniable. She is set to release her next project in 2022, and her 50,000 monthly listeners eagerly await what she will do next. The glass ceiling in hip hop has always been one with cracks in it. In 1988 L’Trimm released their hit “Cars with the Boom”, reaching number #54 on the Billboard charts at a time where The Fresh Prince began to bring mainstream attention to rap music. Though Salt N Pepa, L’Trimm, and Queen Latifah dominated the mic in the ’80s, it wasn’t until 2019 that a female rapper reached #1 on Billboard for the first time. Neither Lauryn Hill, Nicki Minaj, or Lil Kim, ever reached number one status. In 2019, the Glass Ceiling was officially broken when Cardi B hit number one on Billboard with her smash hit ‘Bodak Yellow’. Like her or not, this track shattered the ceiling and made way for artists like Bia, Doja Cat, and the newfound Erica Mason.
Erica has a very bright future ahead of her and very soon could see herself reaching heights rarely reached in the music industry. Fully Independent, this star is ready to burst into higher levels and maximize her potential. Stay tuned for what she has next!
