Who Is Ty Suave?
Ty Suave was born Brooklyn, NY. He grew up with a love for music, and it has always been a big part of his life. He started singing and songwriting when he was just a teenager, and it soon became clear that he had a lot of talent. He began to develop his own unique sound, and people quickly started taking notice.
His real name is Gerard Dickens, and he’s been chasing his dream since 2018. He struggled when he was homeless, sleeping in and out of the car during school years for graduation, but after that moved back to New York where it all began.

From the inside looking out, who is the artist Ty Suave?
Ty suave is a young man from Brooklyn New York trying to chase his dreams.. not only does he want to be wealthy and rich but he wants fame and fortune.
What was the defining moment that brought you to the music industry?
When I realized I had talent and wanted to express it with the world
What satisfies you most about making music?
Being able to express myself any way I want without being judged and being 100% myself
Where do you find your inspiration?
I find my inspiration within my family because my parents are the reason why I am who I am today and I wouldn’t be where I am today if it wasn’t for their support. I want them to live the best life they could possibly live.
When do you feel like you found your individual voice as an artist?
When I was 18 years old when I told myself I can do whatever I set my mind to! Lots of people tried to tear me down but I knew I had a gift.
How do you see yourself contributing to the fabric of Hip Hop as a creative?
Because me simply making music is creative because I have an original sound that other artists don’t and I express myself in ways that others can relate to and my voice and sound are 100% me, not autotune
Do you have a bucket list of collabs you’d like to accomplish?
Yes, I’d love to collaborate with Coi Leray, Megan thee stallion, Dababy, Lil Baby & Monaleo.

We’ve been captive to COVID-19 for the past two years, how did you maintain your mental health and creativity?
By staying to myself and always believing in my music and always staying true to myself
