Shawn2Hot: An Inspiration For Budding Artists
While many artists may imagine an overnight success, that is never the case in reality. Determination and consistency, accompanied by the courage to endure repeated failures, are what create legends. One such legend creating a buzz in the hip hop scene is Shawn2hot. Life has not been easy for this South American artist. Having his roots in Georgetown, Guyana, Shawn2hot had to experience a painful and insupportable childhood due to his constant exposure to poverty and violence. What is remarkable is that Shawn2hot did not allow these circumstances to affect him mentally. In addition, he also never fell into the same practices he encountered in his childhood.
Instead, Shawn2hot found solace in writing music. At the modest age of 10 years, Shawn2hot channeled all the violence around him into writing poems. Of course, the contents of his work were nowhere near pleasant, but they formed a firm base for his future writing style. At the age of 16, Shawn2hot moved to the United States and started taking an even greater interest in music. He surfed through all genres, from Oldies to Reggae and Rock music, but none of them ignited a passion within him.
This was until he came across Snoop Dog’s album Doggy style. That was his first encounter with the world of hip hop. Like metal is attracted to a magnet, Shawn2hot immediately became obsessed with the genre of Hip Hop. All his previous writings were transformed into lyrics, and all his time and efforts were now being directed to exploring where he fit in the universe of Hip Hop. At the age of 17, Shawn2hot began experimenting with beats that led him down the path of audio production. After much polishing and practicing, this skill now aids Shawn2hot with his tracks, melodies, and producing music.
Shawn2hot entered the hip hop scene with his first single titled “Can’t hold me,” portraying his rough and tough lyrics and composition. Shortly after, Shawn2hot released his second single titled “Lust” This was the turning point of his entire career. Soon after the release of “Lust”, the single started gaining immense popularity and has over 100,000 streams. Soon afterward, his single “Into You” was aired on Power 105.1, one of the USA’s most famous hip hop stations. Motivated by his hard-earned success, Shawn2hot aims to release his first-ever album, Volcano Music Vol. 1, on 27th May. Apart from being his first album to hit the world, another thing that is incredible about the album is that it has been independently produced and compiled.
The journey from being a poverty-stricken child to releasing a solo album without the support of any considerable label is jaw-dropping. It was easy, but it is a story that is sure to serve as an inspiration for millions of budding artists dreaming of making it big in the USA. Giving up is never the option; once you have dreamed a dream, it is time to work it into existence. Of course, the task would not be easy, but it will all be worth it once you are at the top.
