Cabanaa is the Most Prominent Emerging Artist From The DMV’s Music Scene

What’s your artist name and where are you  from?

Cabanaa is the most prominent emerging artist from the DMV’s music scene. Hailing from BaltimoreMaryland, he beautifully blends hip hop and r&b records through infectious melodie’s and intricate wordplay. The multifaceted creative is raw and authentic, plus he hasn’t written any new material in the last six years; he just freestyles. Not to mention, Cabanaa directs, produces, and edits his own music videos, making him what you call a “One Man Shop.”

Why do you love music?

Since his first heartbreak experiencing rejection from a love interest back in grade school, Cabanaa has continuously turned to music as an outlet for expression. Especially growing up in Baltimore, one of America’s most dangerous cities. Cabanaa had to learn how to turn a negative into a positive by using his environment and circumstances as influences on his music making. As you listen to his catalog, you’ll learn that Cabanaa is very honest and open about who he is and where he is from.

What makes you different as a music artist?

The B-More native gives thanks to God for his gifts and the ability to express himself through rapping and singing, which has been a great way for Cabanaa to show off his versatility as well as connect and resonate with his audience. Cabanaa purposely uses his platform to remind people that they’re not alone in this life and that God has a plan for them no matter what they’ve done or gone through. What makes Cabanaa different as an artist is that there is no flaw in his lyrics and he reaches a level of vulnerability that most people are uncomfortable with speaking on. Cabanaa sacrifices his own trauma and diminishes his own ego in order to relate to people who have been in similar situations in life. Cabanaa is a man for the people!

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

In 5 years I see myself being one of the most dominant artist in the music industry. I plan to have atleast 2 platinum albums, multiple platinum singles, and headlining all major festivals. I also want to have my own recording label and usher in new talented acts to introduce to the world. In conjunction with music, I plan to venture into real estate investing, stocks, and my passion of fine dining by opening a 5 star restaurant in the heart of Baltimore City. I also want to build a recreation center for inner city kids to use as an escape from the harsh realities of their everyday environmental situations.

What do you want to accomplish in life?

I plan on being the first person in my family to create the structure of generational wealth for generations to come. I love the flash, shiny things, and luxurious travel experiences but the core of my peace comes from my family being at peace. My goal is to make sure nobody is stressing over how the bills will get paid this month or behind on payments. From business to essential living expenses I want to instill ownership into their mindsets.

What do you bring to the music world?

Cabanaa brings authenticity to the music industry. In a world full of cap and false prophets, Cabanaa is making it “Cool” again to be yourself and appreciate where you are in life. He documents every part of his journey from his late night studio grind, various shows, vocal training, and rehearsals. Cabanaa strives to keep his journey up close and personal to enlighten people on the real struggles you will go through when accomplishing your dreams.

What do you want to be remembered by?

When it’s all said and done I want to be remembered as a God fearing genuine human being that did well for himself and put other people in a position to win. I want to be known as the guy who conquered everything he had on his bucket list but also gave back to his community to help other people succeed. The titles of the “GOAT” or “Legend” are very honorable but true greatness comes from bringing out the greatness in others.
