“Love Me” by Shaun Milli is the Song Every R&B Playlists Needs
If you like hip-hop and R&B music, I highly recommend you check out the brand-new track that up-and-coming musician Shaun Milli just released. The song title is “Love Me,” and you can find a link to listen to the tune and see the official music video on YouTube below.
The song begins with a mellow piano opening, and as soon as Shaun Milli begins singing “I ain’t got that much time left,” it is immediately apparent that this guy was destined to be a singer. His voice has a lot of force to it, but at the same time, it is very easy to listen to and does not dominate the conversation in any way.
You can hear him easily hitting those higher notes as well in the first verse when he sings “I believe it’s better if I walk to the left.” As soon as the chorus begins and he starts singing “Love me,” it becomes abundantly clear that this artist has accomplished the difficult task of producing a work of art that will stand the test of time and elevates him to a level far above the majority of other artists working in the music industry today.
This is a guy who has spent most of his life singing, and I do hope that the rest of the world is prepared for a lyricist and vocalist with such incredible skill.
But the vocals aren’t the only thing that is amazing about this music; the melody on the keyboard is silky, the drums and bass are the ideal accompaniment to Shaun’s voice, and the electric guitar gives the whole track even more depth. The mixing and mastering are also of very high quality.
Roy Made It is the man behind the production of this tune (who just produced Yk Osiris’s new single, Be My Girl, with Polow Da Don). In a culture saturated with poisonous and shallow music that gets published each day, hearing a genuine song like this one is revitalizing. Not only is the song fantastic on its own, but it also comes with an official music video that is well matched to the music (see above).
It’s fantastic to see a video and music like this that is old-school and takes it back to a period when a guy was truly trying to win over a lady by trying to satisfy her and not treating her like garbage and demeaning her. Most musicians may only hope to achieve even a fraction of Shaun Milli’s level of refinement and sophistication.
This performer can take the audience on a trip that they didn’t even realize they sorely wanted to go on! I believe that it is only a matter of time until more and more people start listening to Shaun Milli, and he will replace some other musicians who also happen to be named Shaun… Therefore, for all these reasons, I can only urge you to do yourself a favor and give Shaun Milli’s brand-new single “Love Me” a try.
