Meet Girl Pow-R The Teenage Powerhouse Group With Their Club Floor Anthem ‘Let’s Go Dancing’

Girl Pow-R is based in Toronto, Ontario but has members from across the province. They came together on International Women’s Day in 2017 based on gathering together some of the most talented girls in the province. Each girl in the group has a social cause, things like food for kids, world peace and better education for children. Dedicated to being an inspiration for all young women worldwide, Girl Pow-R is an all-girl teen alternative Dance-Pop group whose debut album has been streamed over 2.2 million times across all platforms in over 240 countries worldwide, as well as going viral on TikTok with over 1.1 million views alone. Nominated for a JUNO Award in March 2020 for the Children’s ‘Album of the Year’, making Girl Pow-R among the first children to ever be nominated in this category at the JUNO Awards for their own original music. Since starting, the group has won a Family Channel Singing Competition, as well as nominations for Niagara Music Award’s ‘Best New Group’, a Toronto-Independent Award, and hand-picked to recreate the Mysticons’ Theme Song.

Girl Pow-R’s song “Never Let Go” was recently added to rotation on radio stations in the US and charted in the TOP 50, rising to #48 on the Mediabase charts in the United States! Previously, the “Never Let Go” single obtained 700,000+ listens across all social media platforms with feature play by IHeart Radio station CHBE in Victoria, BC, and multiple other radio stations. In addition, Girl Pow-R has received countless media features in print, web, television, and radio, including Tiger Beat, J-14, Girls’ Life, Celeb Secrets, SiriusXM, Breakfast Television, eTalk Canada, Fresh 95.3 FM, YTV, TVO Kids and much more!
