Prince Charles Talks Sir Ranulph Fiennes in Documentary Film, EXPLORER

Prince of Wales will appear in the feature documentary EXPLORER, a portrait of the world’s greatest living explorer, Sir Ranulph Fiennes.

In a new exclusive clip, HRH Charles Prince of Wales talks about his admiration for his longtime friend, whose many extraordinary achievements include being the first to circumnavigate the world from pole to pole, crossing the Antarctic on foot, breaking countless world records and discovering a lost city in Arabia.

“He wants to do the things that haven’t been done by other people, to achieve what others haven’t,” HRH Charles Prince of Wales says of Sir Ranulph Fiennes in the clip.

But who is the friend of Prince Charles who prefers to be known as just ‘Ran’?

With exclusive access to Ran, his incredible film archive, preserved and cared for by the BFI National Archive, covering decades of expeditions and contributions from life-long friends and colleagues, EXPLORER tells the definitive story of an inspirational leader, delving deep into Ran’s audacious and eccentric dreams to explore the complex motivations behind them.

The documentary feature will be available on digital and on-demand from August 30th, 2022, and will also feature adventurer Bear Grylls (National Geographic’s Running Wild with Bear Grylls) and explorer Anton Bowring among others.

EXPLORER is a Good Productions film in association with the British Film Institute (BFI) and Universal Pictures Content Group. Directed by Matt Dyas and produced by BAFTA and Emmy-nominated George Chignell (Citizen K, Searching for Sugar Man, I Am Ali).
