Rising Def Jam Artist Azanti Shares New Video “Gettin’ Hot”

The 18-year-old singer, songwriter, and producer ‘boy wonder’ Azanti debuts his new visual to U.S. audiences on his single “Gettin’ Hot,” his major label single whose video premieres today via Def Jam Recordings. The Abuja, Nigeria artist’s self-created, unique sound cuts across R&B, hip-hop, AfroBeats, and trap soul. Azanti has grabbed the spotlight of the continent’s competitive Afro-pop industry. A wide array of influences – from his mentor and fellow artist PsychoYP, to WizKid, Bryson Tiller, Wande Coal, Chris Brown, and Chronixx (to name a few!) – shaped Azanti’s approach to music. The result is an imaginative, self-created sound that cuts across R&B, AfroBeats, funk, soul, and dancehall. Out of high school and currently in university, the future is looking bright for young talent. For Azanti, music is the food of the soul, an essential instrument for communicating life’s pleasures. As he sets his sights on the fall 2022 release of his upcoming album, Azanti looks to leave his mark on the industry.
