Young Cardi latest single “Worth It”

Utilizing clever metaphors and colorful imagery, Young Cardi details the contrast to escapism money can afford while trying to mask an underlying depression issue. “I got problems I got issues, grab the bottle tonight.” These vices are further illustrated by; “Assumptions, drug consumption, In the end, I feel like nothing.” Young Cardi delivers these thoughts on this clever archetype in a style that maintains the overall sound of the selected hip-hop genre. Moreover, what makes Worth It really stands out against the other derivative tracks with the repeated drum snare beats is Young Cardi’s ability to incorporate a secondary lyrical theme within a relatively short track duration. “Is love real, cause I’m looking for a purpose.”
