0Interscope’s Ocean x Kungfu Release New Single and Music Video “M.A.B.”
Chameleon Entertainment Associates Group/Red Agency Records/Interscope Records introduce emerging female Hip-Hop/Rap sister duo Ocean x KungFu who have releas
The show-stopping audiovisual shows snippets of Ocean x KungFu traversing throughout their hometown of Atlanta, GA. The video capitalizes on the theme of having confidence and no fear, as we see the sister duo leading a group of their friends who perform high energy choreography, thrilling stunts, and street takeovers. “M.A.B.” flaunts the sister duo’s undaunted rhyme reverence, fashion-forward fire and endless charisma in spite of some gutsy lyrics that are at the same time empowering and brow-raising. “M.A.B.” delivers another example of why the upbeat female rap duo are destined to become Atlanta’s most formidable new rap duo.
Ocean x KungFu write clever rap songs like it was their destiny. Since childhood, Atlanta’s hot new hip-hop duo—sisters Ocean, 19, and KungFu, 21—have worked tirelessly to develop their natural synergy and colorfully melodic flows into rap songs full of purpose, intention, and boundless charisma. All of this work comes to a head on the debut project that they’re preparing for Chameleon Entertainment Associates Group Holdings/Red Agency Records/Interscope Records. Their journey began before Ocean x KungFurealized what was happening. An uncle they spent their childhood around was a rapper, so they learned basically by osmosis. When they were around 15, Ocean mentioned Atlanta DJ Ferrari Simmons in a freestyle, which won them airplay on local radio. They soon attracted an audience through their viral freestyles and vlogs. After teaming up with music executive Breyon Prescott (owner of Chameleon Entertainment) to found the duo, their momentum ballooned around August 2019’s unapologetic smash “Savage” which has since garnered lots of attention, including 5.8 million YouTube views and nearly 5 million streams on Spotify. Since then, they’ve continued to push themselves, making songs that feel colorful, provocative, and vibrant and building a massive following with nearly four million Instagram followers between the two of them. But for now, Ocean x KungFu are set on solidifying their staying power and proving that they belong among the A-listers who’ve begun to give them attention. “It’s time to go harder,” they say. “Now it’s no stopping.”
