Sam J. Jones On The New Pure Flix Film “An Unlikely Angel,” Finding Success Outside Of Acting & More

An Unlikely Angel is a heart-warming story about a successful New York City toy executive Janie Caswell (played by Jillian Murray) who faces her biggest challenge yet: being a mom. Although she is fully in control in the boardroom, she is a complete wreck at the thought of becoming a mom. She is afraid she will get it all wrong, or worse, get it right and then suffer the same illness that took her mom away from her so early in life. Through an answer to prayer and the help of a New York Cabbie/angel (played by Robert Amaya), Janie gets a chance to see what her life could be in the future. Janie realizes that the baby years go by fast, and childhood is too precious a time to waste. In turn, Janie is miraculously offered the chance of a “do-over” and relishes every moment of being a wife and new mom.

Another one of the stars of An Unlikely Angel — as released to Pure Flix last month — is Sam J. Jones. The star of Flash Gordon, Jones has over 65 films and hundreds of TV shows to his credits. Prior to finding success as an actor, Jones played football in the Marine Corps. His on-screen credits also include 10 (as Bo Derek’s husband), Ted and Ted 2, HBO’s 1st & Ten, The A-Team and Baywatch. Jones was also the focal point of a documentary about the highs and lows of his life titled Life After Flash, which brought light to Jones being married to wife Ramona Lynn and the father of five children.

On September 20, 2022, I had the pleasure of speaking with Sam J. Jones via Zoom, as embedded below. More on Jones and An Unlikely Angel can be found online by clicking here, here and here.
