The Blowout Feature is the Newest Game-Changing Concept
Darnell Norwood, Gaming Video Creator, from Madison, Wisconsin started The Blowout Feature Team with the mission to change gaming culture. The blowout feature gives gamers the opportunity to win their game once the “blowout feature” selected point lead is reached. Norwood’s goal is to bring attention to the feature and gain support from gamers all over the world.
Before the game, players can select whether or not they want to use the blowout feature as well as by how many points. The feature has a standard of 35 points, but setting options include 21, 30, 35, and 40 points. Once a player selects to use the blowout feature, he or she is matched with another player who is selected to do so as well. For example, Player 1 selects to use the blowout feature with a blowout of 35 points. He/she is then partnered with another player who is also selected to use the feature. Once Player 1 takes on a 35 point lead, he/she then is presented with the option to accept his/her “blowout victory” or continue playing the game.
Using the blowout feature eliminates players continuing to play the game after it’s over. Currently, players are forced to play the game until the clock runs out. With The Blowout Feature, players will be able to finish the game faster. This also incentives gamers to get a lead early on. Additionally, The Blowout Feature allows gamers to end the game without having to quit and receive a penalty. Polls taken on The Blowout Feature’s Instagram account reflect a 79 to 21 vote, in favor of using the blowout feature in 2k and Madden. Supporters of the feature claim this idea will improve their gaming experience by making it more fun, stating that [they’ve] “been waiting for a feature like this for a while.” Evidence shows that the video game market is ready for this feature and fans are making their voices heard.
