9X GRAMMY Award-Winning Singer and Guitarist José Feliciano Releases New Music Video for ‘Viva La Navidad’
Legendary singer, songwriter, and guitarist, José Feliciano, released the music video for “Viva La Navidad”, the new single from his latest album, Love & Christmas. The vibrant new music video is the perfect accompaniment to an already joyous song, reminding audiences of the Christmas classics they grew up with, through the colorful animation displayed in the video.
Viva La Navidad” is a momentous song for Feliciano, as it is the first new Christmas song written and performed by Feliciano in over 50 years, making it the first since the release of his beloved, bilingual holiday classic “Feliz Navidad.” The up-tempo, exciting, and rockin’ new track is the cornerstone of Love & Christmas and is sure to spread holiday cheer.
Love & Christmas, which was released November 4th through Anthem Records, is Feliciano’s latest album since 2020’s critically acclaimed, Behind This Guitar. The album expresses the enduring themes of his music and life, passion, inclusiveness, community, family, and the joy of the Christmas season. The album also includes the previously released single, “Rozándome”, which was also recorded in English under the title, “Touch Me”. José Feliciano is a beloved singer/songwriter/guitarist and nine-time GRAMMY Award Winner, including a Lifetime Achievement Award for his contributions to music. The Puerto Rican-born artist is known for his many international hits, including his rendition of The Doors’ “Light My Fire”, “Che Sarà,” “La Copa Rota,” “Por Qué Te Tengo Que Olvidar?” the theme song, “Chico and The Man” from the hit television show, and his rendition of “California Dreamin’” which was featured in Quentin Tarantino’s acclaimed film, Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, and went on to be one of the most streamed tracks from its soundtrack.

The evergreen song was originally recorded with the late producer, Rick Jarrard, in October 1970 and released one month later in November 1970 on RCA Records. In 2019, Forbes declared “Feliz Navidad” as the ‘gift that keeps on giving’ which rang true again in 2020 when it reached #6 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
