St. Seii Closes Out 2022 with His New Capsule ‘La Saint’

Afrobeats, a music genre from Nigeria, is impacting the music industry on the global scene. It took off in the 1990s, but Drake’s 2016 smash “One Dance” featuring Nigerian star Wizkid gave the genre the real push it needed. Other US performers, such as Ciara and Major Lazer, have occasionally adopted the Afrobeats elements and included African artists in their music.

St. Seii, a singer and songwriter, is stirring up the afrobeat scene and is blown away by how much it has spread globally. He’s excited to be a part of this transition and is convinced he’s well-equipped to innovate the genre and make it bigger than ever.

Born in Lagos state, Nigeria, the Afrobeat sensation is making strides in the music charts with his unique sound of a mix of Afrobeat, Dancehall, Amapiano R&B, and Hip Hop. Currently living in Dubai, St. Seii revealed that he had never had any particular catalyst for his interest in music; he always felt it was something that had been a part of him, even when he was a youngster. He reminisces about singing along to the lyrics of his favorite songs and creating garage grunge music, and now he has evolved.

St. Seii‘s constant efforts and commitment to perfecting his craft have propelled him to the limelight. His vocals are outstanding, his songwriting is top-notch, and his tunes are mesmerizing. He also has a vibrant personality, making him an ideal representative for the new wave of Afrobeats.

Amazingly, St. Seii has dropped multiple tracks like “Vibes from $enseii,” “ETERIMA,” “DJANGO,” and “BITTERSWEET” within one year. His newest project, “La Saint,” released on 2nd December 2022, has gained a ton of recognition in such a short time. When asked what motivated him to create “La Saint Capsule”, St. Seii responded, “This is all for the ladies! I have great admiration for women and their radiance. The tracks are upbeat and fun and are guaranteed to get you up and moving.

In addition, St Seii put on a fantastic show at the All Africa Festival in Dubai last month, which blew away everyone in attendance. It was an incredible moment seeing St. Seii stand alongside other big African names like Sarkodie and Focalistic, as well as British artist Ramz. Notably, the Afrobeat enthusiast has also made his mark on Spotify’s rankings, among the likes of Grammy-winning act Burna Boy, as well as other big Nigerian stars like Simi and Asa.

St Seii disclosed that his journey to the top did not come easily. The most significant hurdle he had to overcome was maintaining his dedication and discovering the best way to effectively network with people to reach his current level of success. Further, he said,  “you must stay true to yourself and never let anyone tell you that you can’t achieve your dreams. Allowing people to dictate your path will bring you down and make you give up on your dreams,” he added.

St. Seii is undoubtedly determined to top the global music charts with his unmatched sound of the Afrobeat genre. He wants to keep collaborating with even more top-tier artists to bring joy and happiness to his listeners and fans by giving them the most quality music possible.
