LA NuDisco Duo Rude Flamingo Partners With Billboard-Charting Super Producer LX Xander

Deep in the nightlife of Santa Monica in 2020, Brice Basset & Colin Youngwall of NuDisco/Electronic DJ duo Rude Flamingo formed a creative partnership. Brice was already tucked into bed that night with no plans to go anywhere – but he was dragged, kicking & screaming, to the venue by his friends. Everyone they knew in LA was out that night – and there, in the chaos, Colin and Brice met and connected instantly over their passion for music.

Just as Post Malone came up with his name by using an online “rap name generator”; “Rude Flamingo” was generated from a group of “associated words” related to disco, pop and 80’s culture. The Flamingo character (it’s a cartoon) that represents Colin and Brice is edgy, fun and likes to party; everything their music stands for.

The two have now teamed up with British-born, Billboard-charting music producer LX Xander on a new project, which promises to be a blazing combination of Rude Flamingo’s signature playful disco dance-pop sound and Xander’s own trademark melodic trap beats.

“I’m excited to work with these guys!” LX tells us. “I’ve known Brice a while, he actually helped me out when I was moving house a little while back and the guys I had hired bailed out on me. When I heard the tracks he had been working on with his production partner, I knew I could make something dope with them.”

Rude Flamingo is one of the first candidates of LX’s brand new zero-to-hero artist development process, which claims to be able to take almost any artist (as long as they have the talent) and put them in position to build a real career for themselves in the music industry.
