Canada’s AfterTheWave Hits with New Project ‘Like That’
AfterTheWave (Born Jamar McGhie) is a Canadian rapper, singer, and songwriter with a focus on making music that transcends usual boundaries and stylistic limitations.
As a result, he is always able to set a very high creative bar and impress his audience with some unique aesthetics. Such is the case of his latest single, “Like That” produced by Marc Cutz and George (3Peat) which was just released last Friday.
This intimate, heartfelt single is a genuine masterpiece that gives an ode to the redemptive power of love and overcoming darkness. When asked what the inspiration was behind the debut single, Jamar transparently says, “‘Like That’ symbolizes me feeling like I wasn’t able to get out of my past 7-year relationship with my ex” Which is a relatable emotion that almost any listener could relate to. “My music is a form of expression and healing. This single is one many can resonate with or just vibe to”, he adds.
