It’s Looking oBleak: A Cinematic Journey of Otherworldly Horrors
A sound cuts through your speaker and it’s like nothing you’ve ever heard; it’s oBleak. Some people can appreciate an artistic vision; while others are meant to manifest it. With a brand new album out worldwide, oBleak hasn’t stopped releasing hard-hitting, raw Hip Hop for the last three months.
His music isn’t the only thing catching people’s attention though. With vibrant, intense visuals, his music videos are a barrage of fast horror sequences. Each video I’ve watched so far has left me with the full concept of each song even more than before, with specific characters and settings for each.
His newest video, It’s Looking Bleak takes it to the next level, bringing a hardcore mix of metal themes with horror and extreme special effects and pyrotechnics. This left me wanting more. It almost reminded me of the famous metal band Slipknot, sporting unique costumes throughout.
The man behind the camera making this happen is none other than Akash Hans; a Chicago videographer and director testing the limits of film with his own unique twist. Together these two have provided a visual masterpiece.
