King Lil G is the Next Big Mogul of Hip Hop

Celebrating Cinco de Mayo, we wanted to highlight an emerging mover out of Cali, King Lil G. Going from a high school dropout to hanging Billboard plaques on his wall, King Lil G now rules the charts. From the likes of Grammy-Award winner Nipsey Hustle; to acts like Too $hort, Bun B, B Real, and Tory Lanez, he is paving the way for his sound and evolving it to the mainstream. With a unique sound that’s incomparable to anyone out today, the rapper uses a blend of Spanish, rap, and hip hop to bring back 90s rap.

With the ability to direct, edit, write, and perform, King Lil G takes pride in writing and recording his own music. Raised in street life, he admits that he saw similarities between his favorite hip hop artists and his own life. After seeing raw talent in the streets, G started his own label to give others a platform to be heard.

Gearing up to release a new album, King Lil G admits, “A lot of my music talked about my past. Now, I’m rapping about my present.”

With over 11 projects out, his music career has taken him to new heights and the ability to give his family a new life, residing in Calabasas. Despite being known as a hip hop artist, King Lil G is aiming for mogul status with a possible reality TV series in the works. And, knowing the importance of generational wealth, he plans on creating dispensaries, engaging in real estate, and curating movies.
