As we grow up and look forward to reaping the rewards of our grind, some of us start to explore a serious lifestyle change, one that we’ve earned our way in to. The dreams and fantasies of most Western adults tied to the grind want to break out and go off the grid, but in top-flight style, generally have a common theme, beautiful scenery, quiet bustle, total relaxation and plenty to do to occupy our time.

This summer, while covering the 21st Annual St. Kitts Music Festival which in itself was amazing, I was blessed to join a group of journalists at this slice of a slice of heaven called Christophe Harbour, for one of the most pleasant afternoons I’ve had in quite some time. Yes, it was work but, the type of work you might do for free…I would! As part of an international contingent of media personalities from America, the Caribbean, and London, we had the opportunity to experience what I would call the ultimate luxury community experience. We viewed the purchase options within the development and received an in-depth tour of the development keyed toward a more discerning clientele.

The international media contingent makes a welcome stop at Christophe Harbour, St. Kitts

Our afternoon was replete with a carefully curated lunch menu by the resident Executive Chef, as well as a briefing by the chief sales executive on the island, who patiently answered our questions about the build out timeline, ownership and its privileges and more importantly, how the community design reflects an appreciation and respect for the natural beauty of the island it calls home. I was impressed with the staged expansion of the community and how designers took into consideration the natural landscape as floor designs began to hit the trestle board. This looks to be a community bent on managed growth and with the benefits of ownership within the Christophe Harbour development, I can understand the care being taken by Master Developers ‘Christophe Harbour Development Company, Limited (CHDC).’

SLIP INTO SOMETHING MORE

Super yacht Marina & Village

Boasting more than 800 linear feet of bulkhead and 24 150-220’ berths in its current phase, the super yacht marina will accommodate vessels up to 300-foot max LOA. With easy access to the jeweled islands of the popular Eastern Caribbean cruising grounds, Christophe Harbour has raised the bar on marina accommodations and services and is poised to become the premier destination port in the West Indies.

Along with state-of-the-art facilities and services for all vessels, the marina will encompass a designated customs port of entry, work permit requirement and fee exemptions, as well as an old-world style Marina Village featuring shops, restaurants and luxury amenities. With full concierge and hospitality services, owners, guests and captains will find exactly what they are looking for in a home port. The 11,000-square foot Customs House along with adjacent luxury retail shops, which will serve as the anchor amenities for the emerging Marina Village, will debut in early 2017.

Unlike the common stern-to berth model, Christophe Harbour offers alongside mooring and docks built to the highest quality standards. In contrast to the traditional leasehold models of 5-30 years, it offers freehold title for a specific berth. It is exclusive to the owner – dedicated, serviceable and a property asset to own in perpetuity. With eligibility, for the Citizenship by Investment program and poised to be the largest in the Eastern Caribbean, the Super yacht Marina & Village at Christophe Harbour is the ultimate destination marina.

GIVING BACK

Christophe Harbour Foundation

Christophe Harbour is committed to protecting its Old World surroundings and honouring its proud heritage through the Christophe Harbour Foundation—a non-profit organization established to preserve the natural coastal environment of St. Kitts and Nevis and to support social, economic, and educational programs. The Foundation takes on various community outreach projects designed to strengthen the physical, cultural, social and natural environments and preserve local cultural traditions. Foundation funds are provided for conservation and other projects that enhance the environment and the lives of the people of St. Kitts and Nevis.

Environmental Stewardship

Christophe Harbour Development Company, Limited takes a careful, thoughtful and sensitive approach to blending manmade creations with the beauty and ecology of St. Kitts. As part of the commitment to the island’s natural environment, a development agreement between the St. Kitts government and Christophe Harbour is in place. The agreement is designed to ensure the project supports the island’s goals to preserve its historic, natural and cultural environment, while also setting the highest standards for its tourism products.

  1. KITTS

Home to Christophe Harbour and together with sister island of Nevis, St. Kitts forms one country: the Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis.

With its colonial forts, lush rainforests, and beachside villages painted in the colours of sun and sky, it’s little wonder the French and English coveted St. Kitts and separately inhabited its 70 square miles over several centuries. Led by a stable, forward-thinking government, St. Kitts is transforming from an agricultural-based economy to one focused on business development and tourism with an emphasis on historic preservation and sustainable development. Christophe Harbour is an integral part of St. Kitts’ dynamic aspirations.

CITIZENSHIP BY INVESTMENT

Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis is one of the oldest, most established, and reputable of its kind in the world. The program was created to stimulate tourism, attract investors, and encourage development. Christophe Harbour is an approved project under the real estate option of the Citizenship by Investment Program provided for in the Citizenship Act of 1984. Any qualifying real estate purchase at Christophe Harbour makes you eligible. And ownership is an investment in a fulfilling lifestyle, a safe haven, a genuine “home” with purpose and meaning beyond mere citizenship—now, and for generations to come.

MAKE YOUR WAY

By Plane

The Robert L. Bradshaw Airport (SKB) in St. Kitts is a 15-minute drive from Christophe Harbour. Direct flights to the modern Robert L. Bradshaw Airport in St. Kitts are available from London, Toronto, New York, Atlanta, Charlotte, Miami, and San Juan. Private aircraft and yacht arrivals may take advantage of expedited customs and immigration services.

YU Lounge, the new private jet terminal, provides seamless arrival experience and expanded VIP services to private aircraft arrivals and commercial passengers.

In addition, private air charters from St. Kitts to surrounding islands make shopping in St. Barths, diving in Saba, and lunch in Anguilla a convenient excursion.

By Boat

Christophe Harbour is located at 17° 14′ North latitude and 62° 39′ West longitude. Christophe Harbour is a designated port of entry and offers VIP customs and immigrations onsite.
