0Houston, TX gets a resident urban music festival ‘Groove Fest’

Saturday September 19, 2015 Doors open at 2:00pm Event starts at 3pm
The life of the music festival is experiencing a renaissance so to speak, BET, SXSW, Electric Dance Festival, Essence and Vans Warped Tour have proven we music lovers love to be around OTHER music lovers and will travel hundreds of thousands of miles each year to experience the modern day “Woodstock” (minus the camp outs).
An Urban Music Festival has finally found a home in Houston, TX. The Inaugural Groove Fest Houston will take place on Saturday, September 19th in downtown Houston at Jones Plaza from 3pm to 10pm.
National Recording artist Dwele will be headlining the festival with support from local legend Luther and the Healers, as well as local artist Annika Chambers. A variety of Live Music is scheduled throughout the day with bands performing from Austin and Dallas.
Outside of the musical acts there will be a variety of local vendors selling merchandise, jewelry and other novelties. Food trucks will be on site all day dishing out gourmet treats for all the rookie and veteran foodies.
This unique festival will have all attendees dancing, singing and celebrating. Festival Organizers have worked all summer to create a memorable experience for all.
This event is open to the public and tickets can be purchased at www.groovefesthouston.com. Currently ticket prices are $15 for adults and kids under 12 are free. Admission at the gate will be $20.
