Toronto-Based Artist anders Releases Surprise Documentary, ‘Road to The Phoenix’

Following an undeniably successful year – releasing his second EP Twos, along with the summer smash hit Love No More with Loud Luxury, and kickstarting 2019 as the only independent artist nominated in the ‘R&B/Soul Recording of the Year’ category for the Juno Awards (up against The Weeknd, Jessie Reyez, Charlotte Day Wilson, and Black Atlass) – Toronto-based singer/songwriter anders has released his short documentary film, Road to The Phoenix.

Road to The Phoenix, produced by Alfredo Films, premiered on March 6, 2019, just ahead of the release of anders’ nearly-complete third EP. As a notoriously private artist, Road to The Phoenix will give fans their first look into the process and structure behind anders; the film documents his 2018 journey to his first show at one of Toronto’s most famous concert venues, The Phoenix Concert Theatre – a show that sold out in a mere four minutes. The release also coincides with the first anniversary of last year’s Twos EP release and features cameos from Juno award-winning artist Jessie Reyez, Grammy-nominated producers FrancisGotHeat, Bizness Boi, and more.
