JOYRYDE Shares Visual For “THRILL” Following Debut Album

Arguably one of the most highly-anticipated dance releases of the year, JOYRYDE’s debut studio album “BRAVE,” has arrived via HARD Records. Now dominating the dance charts, the artist has set his focus towards expanding the story behind the project. Transparency is always appreciated and JOYRYDE has certainly been vocal about his intentions and inspirations with the endeavor.

Sharing with fans his recent struggles making the album after overcoming life-saving surgery to his lower disk, the UK-native was motivated to conquer his second wind.

The producer revealed “I had to take a lot of opioid pills and nerve damage meds to cope with the pain for 5 months and it threw me into a spiral filled with hallucinations, suicidal thoughts, and more. After battling the shakes, withdrawals, insomnia, and overall pain, I finished one track, then a week later two more. Needless to say, the past 4 years have been a complete struggle. That’s life, you handle what youʼre given. The experience gave me a new outlook on music and what I wanna do with the rest of my time alive.”

Following its monumental release, JOYRYDE has just presented the first visual to coincide with the album. The movie-like video for ‘THRILL’ was directed by James Mackel in partnership with HARD Records and JOYRYDE himself. The track’s sinister and eerie atmosphere ties incredibly well with JOYRYDE’s brand as viewers are treated to an exhilarating short film.

In the video you’ll find a tribute to late-actor Rob Lyfe who unfortunately passed away some time after the shoot.

In regards to the passing, JOYRYDE left this message to his fans stating “Over 4 days I made friends I didn’t know I needed. It adjusted my life and ambition for creating the video. Rob and Melian are the stars. They made this video what it is and I’m so amazingly grateful for the whole experience. About 6 months ago Rob tragically died. It was the most devastating moment in our lives. I still can’t believe it. He was the most alive person I’ve ever met. We became childhood friends within minutes. This started out as a music video, but ended up being a huge life event for me and for many others. I’m so proud of it and so grateful to everyone who helped bring it to life.”

The video has caught the attention of music advocates as the production value for the visual aid has far surpassed the expectations of many. Learning now that JOYRYDE played a part in writing and editing the script, you tend to appreciate the effort put forward. We’re certainly looking forward to what’s next for the Englishmen.
