Petco’s Darris Cooper On Keeping Your Pets Safe During COVID-19 & Making A Pet-Friendly Workspace

Many of us are still adjusting to “the new normal” that COVID-19 has produced, but we can’t let our family members from the animal kingdom be an afterthought. We are not only sheltering in place but also we are also limiting our time outdoors, social distancing ourselves from others and working from home. All of these things combined present a major life change for our pets, too.

Just as humans are going stir-crazy and seeking ways to stay engaged and entertained while stuck at home, the same is true for our pets. So it is more important than ever to find new tricks to help keep them both physically and mentally-stimulated. Pets’ safety should also take priority, and there are dangers lurking in our home office setups that can be harmful to their health.

Darris Cooper, National Dog Training Operations Manager at Petco, spoke with me by phone on April 17, 2020 about how to properly adjust into a home-centric existence while still keeping your pets’ best interests in mind. More on all of this can be found online at www.petco.com/covid19.
