Premiere: Rex Evans Inspires In New Track ‘Changes’

Atlanta native, Rex, has been inspired by southern culture his entire life, but has always been an artist to change up his genre, he is a multi-faceted artist who’s niche is so unique that the infusion of pop and soul is different than many would think.

The singer/songwriter draws on influences including Prince, Cameo and The Weeknd, but one of his biggest influences comes from his mother, Debra Killings.  She is a stable in Atlanta’s music scene as a bass player and vocalist who has contributed to records by the likes of TLC, Monica, OutKast, Goddie Mob, Madonna, Aretha Franklin and Jay-Z to name a few.

Rex creates music that speaks to cross generations and cultures. He is melodically rich, lyrically prolific, musically rhythmic, and vocally hypnotic, but on top of all of that, he also writes, produces and sings all of his music when he is not collaborating with music producer, Dallas Austin, who is responsible for some of the biggest hits known from the likes of Michael Jackson, Madonna, Pink, TLC and many others.

Rex is a breath of fresh air and as an emerging talent that creates content that is needed during these times, he is one to keep an eye on and to finish up here, it’s time to let Rex have his say on the track.

“Changes embodies that moment when you realize the one you had love for has changed in a way that opens your eyes to seeing the person you knew before is no longer there and all the efforts you put in to get back to them were a waste”
