So Large Shares His Brand New Track ‘Whole One’

Vigorous East End Rapper, So Large, releases his direct and self-assured hustlers anthem – ‘Whole One’ as he makes his debut with D Double E’s label ‘Bluku Music’.

This menacing instrumental, produced by fellow East Londoner and celebrated grime producer Maniac, is a dark and driven record with elements of UK Drill piercing through its core. From the ominous and airy synth melody to the skippy high hat pattern and deep growl bass, this instrumental makes a fitting match for the context and bouncing flows of the lyrics provided by So Large. Finding a balance between drill, rap and grime, So Large drops a catchy hook and sets the pace of the track as he swiftly moves over the ebbing flow of the beat.

With a strong foothold as one of the scholars of the British Black music scene, So Large is an artist with plenty of history. Having maintained a strong presence in the grime scene and working with artists such as Ghetts, 1Xtra’s Sir Spyro, Bossman Birdie, President T, Mercston, Scrufizzer and many more, So Large has been involved in producing a collection of timeless music hits that continue to be selected, and makes an important addition to his growing discography with ‘Whole One’.

Already enjoying a flood of support from his contemporaries, UK artists such as Novelist, Grim Sickers and Reece West have praised the new release, which is the leading stepping stone for So Large to set an exciting path for his run of new music. Aided by fierce determination, a fresh new energy to his music and label support from one of the most respected grime gods, So Large takes position to be one of the realsest rappers out: “Ain’t got time for no fakes, let the music do the talking”.
